With Set For Life, the prize is a little different - and you could win for years. So its extruded type is designed as if the type is coming towards the player, creating a sense of immediacy and impact. We use it primarily when messaging really needs to stand out e.g. jackpots and events.
The extrusion is created using a hard drop shadow. The shadow only goes directly down in a step-and-repeat style, with each step being exactly the same distance from the previous shadow. There should always be 3 steps.
Extruded type is made to stand out, right at the top of the messaging hierarchy. As a result, it needs to be used wisely - avoiding using it alongside other elements such as imagery wherever possible.
